Lookin' so fine!

This weekend we went to Abilene for Zeb's step-sister's wedding. We just had to get Noah a cute little outfit to wear. We made a pit stop in Snyder to have a little dinner fiesta with Zeb's dad's side. Their grandkids are 5,4,3,2,and almost 1. Noah loves to follow the cousins around.

Zeb's mom and step-dad had a hotel room waiting for us when we arrived around 11pm on friday night. She had a crib already set up for Noah in her room and we got a whole room to ourselves! So nice to sleep in!! We hung out on Saturday and went to breakfast and looked all over Abilene for some little boys dress socks. There are zero childrens' stores in their mall. Crazy!

Zeb bought me a new purse. Saweeet! We relaxed in the hotel room and I watched TLC until we got ready for the wedding. The wedding was in a really big historical house built in 1910. Beautiful but cramped. I sat in a corner and stuffed Noah's face with puffs so he would stay quiet. We left during the wedding at got home around midnight. We usually always come back on saturday nights since Zeb works at the church. It was a short but fun weekend.

Our cute little family!

I know I'm cute!

Noah and DoDo!

That time again

It's time for another one of MckMama's Not Me Mondays.

It was not me who sat in a chair and looked at the ceiling for 5 days while I had a stomach virus.

It also wasn't me who made my husband do anything related to my son while I sat in a chair for 5 days.

I certainly did not call my mom crying like a baby to come take care of me and Noah(eventhough she was sick as well.)

Last of all, it wasn't me who signed up for a battle of the bulge contest at the gym and have only been twice in the last two weeks. That would be embarassing to have my name on the board with no stars.

Grease 9x13 pan. Layer asparagus, peas, and chestnuts. Stir mushroom soup with a liitle milk and pour over chestnuts. Top with grated cheese. Top cheese with crushed crackers. Pour melted butter over crackers. Put in 350* oven for 30 minutes or until crackers turn golden brown.

Turtle Pumpkin Pie!

Prep: 15 min.
Total: 1 hour 15 min. (incl. refrigerating)
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping, divided
1 Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.) I used a real pie crust.
1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. Pecan Pieces, divided
1 cup cold milk
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
POUR 1/4 cup caramel topping into crust; sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans.
BEAT milk, dry pudding mixes, pumpkin and spices with whisk until blended. Stir in 1-1/2 cups whipped topping. Spread into crust.
REFRIGERATE 1 hour. Top with remaining whipped topping, caramel topping and pecans just before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator.

I am one to not want to mess with a good pumpkin pie but this really is awesome!

10 Months!

Yea! 10 months and only one ear infection so far! He had a double ear infection at 3 months so we thought we were in for a hairy ride!

10 month accomplishments:
First tooth (finally, Praise The Lord)
crawling and pulling up on everything
knows all the buttons to push on his toys
waves hi and bye
says dada(grr)
stands up in his crib
understands "No" and gets hand swats frequently
Loves songs and his favorite: Jesus Loves Me (that's my boy)
passes gas like a grown man (seriously)

I could go on and on about his amazing feats but I will spare you with my first child syndrome.

Fun Times!

I have been really busy subbing and going out of town so I haven't had much time to update.
We went out of own to McKinney for my g-pa's 80th bday and family reunion. It was a nice hillbilly get together. No Joke! My cousins ARE different. My sisters and I walked down to the lake while they were having a hoedown. I did sing "Boy Named Sue" by Cash during karaoke.

Noah wore his elephant costume for Spiritfest at our church and I added a little political tag to it. He told me he wanted to vote for McCain/Palin. So there to all of you who think I'm bad for using my child to get votes!

9 months

Please stop growing my Noah bear! I just might have to have another if you don't.

Noah is crawling and waving and exploring many foods. He is all smiles and laughs. This is when I wish I had a good memory so I could remember him at this time forever.

I have wanted to update more with daily activities but have wondered why people would care what we are doing. However, I love to read others blogs filled with the day to days so I just might.

Went to Midland this weekend to see Zeb's Mom and step-dad (Gammie and Pappy.) Noah loved every second of 5 captivated faces watching his every move.

We watched the Tech vs A&M game. Blah. I am proud the Aggies put up a worthy fight.
Noah wore A&M apparel and rooted along with me.

I also tried to take some pictures of Noah at a local pumpkin patch but alas, not much luck. I took a lot of good pics with his eyes closed.

He always has to get the sign!

"Not Me" Monday

So I am participating in a new blog carnival today. This is the first ever “Not Me Monday” hosted by MckMama. Here is my opportunity to tell you about all the things I am definitely NOT claiming to have done.

I definitely did NOT make a pan a of brownies to share with friends and eat a good portion of it.

I am definitely NOT sick right now from NOT eating brownies.

I definitely did NOT put my husband's gel in my son's hair and then proceed to tell him that Noah woke up like that.

When my husband tells me to leave the fans on in the house to save money, I NEVER turn them off when he leaves because I am cold.

I totally did NOT put a damp shirt on my son when I forgot about the clothes in the washer.

Lastly, it was NOT me who threw a dirty diaper in my neighbor's yard when she let her dog poops in ours. That would be so unchristian-like of me.

6 months!

Summertime Fun!

My Sweet Noah!

I can't believe you are already 1/2 a year old! According to our little friend at church though, you are still zero years!! I would have never imagined the love that would grow and keep growing for you over a 6 month period. You are such a happy and joyful baby! When you smile I see God's Grace and Mercy! I pray you always keep that sweet and loving spirit. I pray that you continue to see God's creation with awe and wonder. I pray now and forever that you grow in His Wisdom and stature! I love you my Sweet Noah bear!

You can never have enough chins!!

Noah, now an avid bouncer!

I'm a saleswoman!!

I started selling childrens books from home with a company called Usborne Books. If there is one thing I hate in this world it is bugging other people to buy things, but luckily I don't have to. I don't have to meet a quota so I do as much or as little as I want. Reading has always been a favorite of mine since I can remember sitting in my mom's lap while she read book after book. I want to do the same with Noah and he already loves it at 3 months. I am passionate about literacy so I don't mind getting some guts to talk to people about it. Anywho.... I have a website.

Check it out! http://www.myalexanderbooks.com/ 30 day money back guarantee. Lifetime guarantee that you can send a book back, no matter the condition and buy another one 1/2 off. We do home shows, book fairs and fundraisers for schools!

Are immunizations worth it?

There has been a lot of question about immunizations. People are saying they cause Autism. Can this be true? Scary. They say that a lot of them are unnecessary and can have side effects like ear infectons. Noah is only three months and has already had a double ear infection. It wasn't too long after his first set of shots. I just don't know if I should continue giving him all these shots. What do you think?

Almost 3 months old!

Noah is getting so chunky! He is probably 12 1/2 pounds by now. He is doing very well. He is such a laid back and happy baby. He only cries when he is hungry, tired, or dirty. He has already had his first bout of sickness. He has a cold right now with a double ear infection. yuck! Poor baby. He just looks at me with those sad eyes saying, "You are supposed to fix this, Mommy." It is so heart-breaking to see your child in pain. He is already on antibiotics which is hard for me because I wanted to go as long as possible without them. I just want him to be a happy baby again. Here are some Easter pics as well as others.
